I wrote this when I found out that a new Dissidia Final Fantasy game was announced and that there will be over 50 characters in the roster and so I made this as to tell who I hope will be in the main game.  Here are my 25 wishlist characters for Dissidia Final Fantasy 2015.

Final Fantasy II
Minwu, Mage of the Rebellion.  Minwu is reported to be in the game by Tetsuya Nomura himself and thanks to a friend of mine I like to think he’ll show up in the game.

Leon, the Dark Knight.  Leon was the original mind controlled protagonist, as well as the very first Dark Knight in the series way back in FFII, and thus perfect for inclusion in Dissidia.

Final Fantasy III
Xande, to most the real antagonist in the game.  Xande had a decent chance to be in the first Dissidia but was left out for the Cloud of Darkness.

Final Fantasy IV
Zemus, a pure spirit of hatred and would be a good inclusion.

Final Fantasy VI
Celes Chere, a magik knight turned traitor to the Empire, as well as one of the most prominent protagonists in the game.

Final Fantasy VII
Aerith Gainsborough, flower girl from Sector 5.  Though she appeared as an Assist character in Dissidia 012 I think she could be a good magic character, and the fact that she is my favorite FF female character I’d like to see her physically in the game as a playable character.

Vincent Valentine, former Turk turned science experiment with a tragic past.  Vincent is on my list thanks in large part to Dirge of Cerberus and his back-story.  Besides, who wouldn’t want him brooding in the background in the game as well as using that triple barreled gun of his?

Zack Fair, the last SOLDIER.  Many fans were expecting Zack to be in the original Dissidia but I knew Cloud would be in it instead, but still they hoped against hope and lost.  Still, he could get an appearance if their voices were loud enough.

Genesis Rhapsodos, main antagonist of FFVII Crisis Core.  Though this guy spoke in verse most of the game, he left a mark on my mind (as well as his outfit which was badass right?) and so I hpe to see him in the game.

Final Fantasy VIII
Rinoa Heartilly, Squall’s love interest.  I was hoping she’d be included in the last game but it never did happen.  The reason why I want Rinoa in the game this time is because I think she’d be a good foil to him and since this new game is a reboot there’s a high probability that this could happen.  Besides, I want to hear Rinoa have a voice.

Seifer Almasy, Squall’s rival and Ultimecia’s puppet, there were those that hoped to see him as DLC in Dissidia 012 but it never happened.  I for one would love to see him in the game.

Final Fantasy IX
Vivi Ortunia, a young black mage.  Vivi is one of the popular characters in the game and because of his personality it’d be great for him to be in the game.  To see a large conflict such as the war between harmony and discord, what would be going through his mind?

Beatrix, the strongest knight in the Alexandrian Army, as well as the only enemy the player never beats in the game.  C’mon people!  You could never beat her in the story and that was because she was so strong, why not put her in the game?

Final Fantasy X
Auron, a badass swordsman and friend of Jecht.  Enough said.

Seymour, leader of the Guado and one demented bastard.  He was an inch from making it into the original Dissidia but was left out in favor of Jecht.  I understand that, but I think he can do good now in the new game as Yuna’s rival.

Final Fantasy XI
Eald’narche, the main antagonist of the FFXI expansion Rise of the Zilart.  He also came close to making it into a Dissidia game but was left out in favor of Prishe.  Well, what better time to add him than now?

Final Fantasy XII
Ashelia B’nargin Dalmasca, princess of Dalmasca.  I so wanted her in Dissidia 012 but we got Vaan instead (a resentment I still hold to this day…), and I was greatly disappointed.  She’s such a strong female character that only Lightning comes close to Ashe in comparison.

Vayne Solidor, main antagonist of the game.  Vayne was one of the baddies I was hoping to see in the first two games but this didn’t come to pass.  He has a lot going for him: multiple forms, good attacks, and classic motivations as a villain.  Plus, if Ashe is included as a Cosmos fighter then it’s almost a guarantee that Vayne will be in the game as well.

Final Fantasy XIII
Cid Raines, an enemy or friend of Lightning.  Simply put this guy died and then was brought back only to die again.  Tragic…

Jihl Naabat, the right hand of the devil and one mean bitch.  Hey I had to tell the truth didn’t i?  I really wanted to fight her in FFXIII but that didn’t work out as I had hoped so I got to fight her in the sequel and that was decent.  She has a good deal of character and would work great for Chaos and his minions.

Caius Ballad, Lightning’s ultimate foe.  Caius would be good to have due to his popularity and his overpowered abilities.

Noel Kriess, a hunter from the future.  Only think he’d be good to have if Caius is in the game, as he’d be his main enemy.

Final Fantasy XV
Noctis – I added him mainly because there is a strong chance he’ll be in the new game.

Final Fantasy Tactics
Delita Heiral, Ramza’s friend and sort of enemy.  Since Ramza has been confirmed then Delita might have a great chance of being in it.  I didn’t really like Delita but he’s a good character and foil to Ramza so it’d be fine to have him around.

Ultima, the final boss.  One of the characters I wanted in the first Dissidia game until I was disappointed in the fact only 22 characters made the final cut with no spin off characters.  I wanted her in the game mainly because she is something of a god in Tactics.
I made this soon after the announcement of the newest Dissidia game coming out in the fall for Japan, and later next year for the PS4.
